About Stockpress
Refreshingly simple asset management for creatives. With Stockpress and the power of AI tagging systems, you can visually search, retrieve, manage, and share files with efficiency.
The Problem
In Stockpress, users can upload media and then deep dive into a single file’s view where they can see all the data possible about each digital asset. While powerful, it is currently starting to get cluttered and with new features on the way we need to consider a logical layout for users to navigate with ease and efficiency.
The Opportunity
Leveraging the power of Hotjar, a user activity tracking resource, UX was able to see the behaviors of users interacting with the current state of the web experiences.
Competitive Analysis
In our research, it was important to examine not only the current state of our experience and client engagement. Additionally, we explored the market space and captured insight from what our direct market competitors were offering as well as adjacent market leaders in the tech market.
Information Architecture
Wireframing
In our delivery, we focused on robust simplicity:
Allowing workspace structure to be simple and clean to allow the abundant data presented to be consumable (without clutter) and navigated with ease
Conscious approach that creates space for future features to logically expand into
Prioritize placement of top-used features (download, navigations, next/previous tabs, and zoom)
Being mindful of the number of clicks and actions required; allowing users to always easily escape this view with a single click, open/close features and menus with single clicks, etc.
The Results
“Dena took the time to understand our business and work through some complex user experience challenges. Her excellent communication made the entire process, from ideation to wireframe to final deliverables, smooth and organized. Dena didn’t just jump into designing either; she researched our customer behavior, looked at complementary products, and came up with fantastic ideas that she quickly transformed into great designs. Her work significantly improved our team’s progress and allowed us to get ahead in our development roadmap.”
